Daniel Kepl interviews Larry J. Feinberg about his new book on Leonardo da Vinci “The Young Leonardo: Art and Life in Fifteenth-Century Florence.” Mr. Feinberg is Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Director of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and an expert on the Italian Renaissance. His book on Leonardo’s time in Florence and Milan as a young man in his twenties, explores the history of these two great cities, and their influence on the artist’s genius.
