Daniel Kepl interviews Norwegian-born composer Ola Gjielo (Yay-lo) about his choral compositions, which have received wide critical acclaim. We talk about his musical roots, his training, and his musical ideals, on the eve of performances of four of his works by the Santa Barbara Choral Society on March 29 & 30 at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara.
